The Worm Moon may not conjure up the most beautiful visual but lets unpack the meaning behind the name. The name was given to March’s Full Moon because traditionally, it’s the month when the ground begins to unthaw from the Winter frost and historically this is when Earth Worms began to appear. Fun fact: The naming of moons has been the responsibility of the International Astronomical Union's committee for Planetary System Nomenclature since 1973. That committee is known today as the Working Group for Planetary System Nomenclature (WGPSN). Since we live in the city, there isn’t a ton of ground thawing with concrete so we have to visit a city park to experience little wormies coming up to visit but either way we hope YOU will show up and reawaken and revitalize with us for this beautiful Tuesday night sound bath as we set some intentions and welcome in the transformative energy that March has to offer us all.
