Since the Venice Studio opened I wanted to do events to benefit the community. We thought it would be nice to do a clothing swap and donation. The locals can come swap items and all the leftover clothing will get walked over to the Venice homeless shelter for donation.
Simple Guidelines:
Bring an organized pile of your unwanted, clean, gently worn clothing, shoes, coats etc and ‘shop’ other peoples piles. Everything is free but you must contribute to take. The event isn’t about not having money to buy NEW things, it’s about doing good, engaging community and finding fun ways to meet other locals or be mindful of the environment while helping those less fortunate after. The fashion industry is the second largest polluter in the world so swapping is a unique way to get rid of your outgrown kids clothes, that shirt of your husbands you hate (lol) or that blouse that just sits and collects dust. Give it a new home or help someone in need.
Some people bring nicer items for swapping and basics for donation. Swaps are not tit for tat meaning that if you bring a $250 value jacket its fair game for a $40 value hat. This is about shedding things that no longer serve you and a New Year is always an ideal time to renew and refresh your life.

If you have a rolling rack, awesome bring it. If not bring a small blanket.
This is all free. There is NO exchange of money.
You may also just drop off your bagged items and we will donate if for you.
